DAM^BEER brings up a selection of beats he’s put together between some serious skateboarding sessions and throwing together stop-motion encounters between Alien and Predator action figures, beats he had lying around and was itching to drop. With messed up polyrhythms, funk samples and a very special approach to the boom-bap, this release is a must listen for beat-heads.

EP1 We are very proud to present the first release from Datawaves, an RBMA ex-participant who wishes to remain nameless for the moment, titled “EP1″. Take some 80s influences and a certain appeal for lo-fi production aesthetic with some kind of a lush pop sentiment, put it all in a melding pot and you get something like Datawaves. It’s the new experiment of a certain producer, trying to take his sound somewhere else.

Showcasing his tastes on the podcast this time around, we have a guy who has funk and groove in his veins. He can play most instruments, playing in a bunch of bands ever since he was a kid, known for being in charge of the bass for dominican crowd-pleaser band Calor Urbano, dedicating himself to producing funk beats, soul and house music these days and running his Malamania project. We give you the man responsible for all the beats on RedBull’s Talento de Calle competition, MacroFunk.
