DAM^BEER – Random Bits |
Random Bits More music from the man that refuses to take a break, a producer as industrious as he is creative. DAM^BEER brings up a selection of beats he’s put together between some serious skateboarding sessions and throwing together stop-motion encounters between Alien and Predator action figures, beats he had lying around and was itching to drop. With messed up polyrhythms, funk samples and a very special approach to the boom-bap, this release is a must listen for beat-heads. |
STOPCAST 015: HAPPY BDAY COHOBA |
We got Cohoba taking the lead of this thing for a second time, citing he’s just been digging too many new sounds to not put a STOPCAST together. Hell, it’s also his birthday today. Watch out, in the following hour of music, from spaced-out textures to dancier rhythms, your head will be played with. You have been warned. |
Datawaves – EP1 |
EP1 We are very proud to present the first release from Datawaves, an RBMA ex-participant who wishes to remain nameless for the moment, titled “EP1″. Take some 80s influences and a certain appeal for lo-fi production aesthetic with some kind of a lush pop sentiment, put it all in a melding pot and you get something like Datawaves. It’s the new experiment of a certain producer, trying to take his sound somewhere else. |
gabo lora – 8 dedos EP |
All the way from Paris with a whole lot of love comes an EP from our label’s original founder, gabo lora. Everything from experimental textures to trippy beats (‘cuz we trippy mayn), gabo lays down some serious tracks in 8 Dedos EP. Graphic designer, guitarist, keyboardist (for Rita Indiana at one point), this young man has much to show and tell. Download and enjoy. |
STOPCAST: #014 by Macrofunk |
Showcasing his tastes on the podcast this time around, we have a guy who has funk and groove in his veins. He can play most instruments, playing in a bunch of bands ever since he was a kid, known for being in charge of the bass for dominican crowd-pleaser band Calor Urbano, dedicating himself to producing funk beats, soul and house music these days and running his Malamania project. We give you the man responsible for all the beats on RedBull’s Talento de Calle competition, MacroFunk. |
